This volume, while dealing with several important doctrines (such as the Godhead, Water Baptism, etc.) discussed in Revelation chapters one through three, is primarily intended to provide a detailed study of the Seven Church Ages. This study is necessary as a preliminary to that of the rest of the Apocalypse, because from the Ages come the Seals, from the Seals come the Trumpets, and from the Trumpets come the Bowls. Like the initial bursting of a Roman candle, the Church Ages produce a powerful initial illumination, without which there could be no further fires. But once Divine revelation has brought the brilliance of the Seven Church Ages, the lights flash forth one after the other, until the whole of Revelation lies wide open before our wondering eyes, and that _ the Spirit thereof edifying and purifying us _ we may be prepared for the glorious appearing of our Lord and Savior, the One True God, Jesus Christ. The text is written in the first person, because it is a message from my heart, addressed to the hearts of people. We have taken care to capitalize all names, titles, pronouns, etc., relating to the Divinity, as well as the words “Bible”, “Scripture”, and “Word”. Indeed, we consider that this form is necessary to designate the majesty and the Person of God and His Holy Word. I pray that God blesses each reader, and that the Spirit of God enlightens each in a special way.
